It's half-time! And with a few activities planned in place too.



Sister + Mark's Wedding (9th-10th) : The most talked-about event of the year in my household, a celebration that was prepared well in advance for one whole yr. The search for the banquet ballroom, squeezing in over 700 guests into 70 tables. The renovation of One Tree Hill, gone through much much trouble, bargaining and squabbling with contractors, suppliers alike, but all worth it seeing the end product. The selection of the necessities, wedding gown, evening gown, jewelleries with matching bling-bling shoes. The tiring studio/outdoor photoshoots, and the selection of photographer for the actual day. Definitely no mean feat to have ur own perfect wedding.


Sister+Mark's Post-Wedding dinner @ KL (13th-14th) : Too many relatives on mark's side, so we are travelling up north, all 8 of us to hold a simpler wedding banquet in KL. We're taking the long 5-hr coach ride up. Mini MJ session anyone?

Father's Day (17th) : Falls on a sunday so dinner is out since 2pm is his regular MJ premier league session. Perfect occasion/reason/excuse to have a sinful brunch. Time to pamper him too.

Mr Management's bdae (29th) : Yet another round of boozing boozing boozing then puke puking puked. Somehow or rather everyone has to go through this stage, almost an individual annual event already. Will he or will he not? We shall find out.

Throw in another 3 new projects ready-get-set-go plus the 2 current ones and my hands are full again. Well at least i get 3 days of rest in between since there wont be any PB this mth :)

The 'Internship'

Exactly a month into LYE. Time to throw in a verdict before they start judging me.

A very contrasting prospective from the last one i had at Woh Hup. Its main-con vs sub-con, site management vs project management, handle big money vs handle smaller money, small role vs main role. I kinda enjoyed this one though, i get a lot of freedom running around so time passes faster.

There are huge differences between the big dealer and a small player. This is like WH being Genting International and LYE one of the million patrons, while the likes of Far East Organisation and Hyflux being STB and the govt. My pet site, Orchard Central was a whopping $110million development, while it will probably take LYE's turnover 5 yrs to reach that milestone.

Nevertheless, i'm glad i'm still in the game, the engineering game, albeit a much much smaller presence. But i'm looking ahead, this is just the start of many good things to come.

MPT / Supersprint 2007

Curse the blur me forgot my DSLR for the event. A galore of hardcore fire-breathing jap machines all coming together, scorching rubbers under the equally scorching 37 degrees hot sun @ kallang carpark F.

Good times flashes you by, so fast so that its already half a year since the 18th of Nov.

The 1st 6 mths has always widely been touted as the classic 'honeymoon' period. Ours sure is lovey-dovey, the most magical 27 weeks i ever had. Every single day, never missing out on the slightest chance to meet for lunch or dinner, sometimes travelling half of SG just for that coveted meal together. Weekday nights getting laid back, spending nice time together at each others' places, 2 couch potatoes chasing HK serial DVDs. Me getting a new job, and you making the sweetest effort in waking up 1.5 hrs earlier everyday, making a detour sending me to work before they give me the transport. Our first overseas trip together (kulai not counted), lotsa fun and quality 'us' times. You making nice efforts in spending times with me and the boys, though we tend to always hang out at the same place every weekend, but i know you are there just because i am too.

Yes I know you dote on me, thank you ;)

Mom's day 07

A mother's day celebration turns out to be a kids' festival instead, with a rare appearance from my fav baby - kaiera The precious little ones brightened up the entire mood which was otherwise bored and stale, even with loud wails-for-nothing from Zaria. Da-jie's daughter was accomodating and just about allowed everyone have a piece of moment with her. Kaiera was running around, making everyone's business her business, so cute. Then there was the 3kg cheese cake, courtesy of Mr & Mrs Bryan, a nice signal of appreciation for all mothers present, for their hard work through the past 365 days.

Merlion + Jialing bdae 07

The objective is simple: To make Merlion merlion-ed at the end of the night, as of 7 yrs ago at Pit Stop.

Venue: A nice change of slaughter ground from the usual prinsep street @KP to clarke quay Fashion Bar.

Drinks: Still the usual suspects Martell and Chivas. Except tonight we throw in a lil special triple combo --> Flaming Lambo + Waterfall + Graveyard (Which later translates into Gas Chamber instead), all served within 15-20mins of each other.

And here we go...

2 hrs later....

Mission Accomplished.

Afterwhich it was another mandatory task for me in sending the birthday boy home.

Happy 26th birthday to Jialing too. 2 birthdays, 2 different fates. :)

Sis + Mark unofficial wedding shots

My maiden pre-wedding shoot ~~~ first night shoot also. So thankful to M&T for their gungho attitude letting me trial and error the whole night @ Marina South, and dear feline giving that much needed extra helpful hand along the way. I must've taken like 200 over pictures and only these few turned out fine enough to be published here.

ok, i need to go for the canon class, i know.
