Fun shop and food in BKK

Although planned as a 6-person trip, His & Her majesties were extremely wary against the rumours of bomb threats and a certain state of emergency over the Thais' new yr celebrations. It was nearly a no-go for the whole group, but the enthusiastic remaining 4 of us decided to go ahead anyway.

First we checked into Pathumwan Princess hotel, a beautiful place to stay in considering the affordable price tag. The lobby deco perks u up right away after the long transit from the airport, spells luxury everywhere, and the service is great. Better than hotel asia with the boys last yr. :P

Thereafter, there was no turning back; it was food food food all the way, from the durian sticky rice and pad thai in MBK food centre to dear feline's fav grilled sotong and crabs at T&K seafood in chinatown, every meal was finished with 4 satisfied full stomachs and loud burps from singha.

Entire 2nd and 3rd day was spent shopping in MBK and chatuchak, an indulgence you cannot find in SG, esp for the 2 dear ladies. Everything feels cheap and affordable, and still we want to bargain even that lil 10-20baht (= S$0.40 to S$0.80). There was so much to see, yet so little time, turn one corner and u find a new stall u never came across before when u thought u've seen it all. We vowed to come back again and conquer them all someday (a bi-annual event perhaps?)

In between, there was tricia & gf's fav thai massage. Not that i enjoy it very much, but what to do when the girls insisted on doing it right.

Now check out the food food food~~~~

Everything tastes as good as it looks. Even the humid weather does little to dampen our joyous mood.

On the third day, after overdosage of thai food, thai beer and thai shopping, we bid farewell to M&T and went on the second leg of our getaway; Marriott Holiday and Spa resort.
